As per your query, we have review your points and also seen your site.
The Slider you are using on the homepage is not from our theme, so you have to talk to the support of the slider plugin.
We are giving you some easy steps and CSS to change the color od drop down.
Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Additional CSS >> Put the given CSS on it >> Publish.
